Hi Gaz.

i dont have a particular vehicle in mind yet, still looking

it will be a 2009 or 2010 model as hopefully most of the glitches will be ironed out on the run out vehicles

Does this engine suffer from the dreaded oil pump issue ?

B6 any good ones around

The B6 is a lovely looking car and i would really one..

i have been put off with all the problems people have with them, so just wanted to know if any of the models were a bit more reliable than the older versions..


i know the BKE is one to avoid, are any of the 2.0 engines reliable ?

I really fancy a B6 TDI estate but all the bad stuff about oil pumps, conrods, injectors and handbrakes put me off..

Is there a period where they sorted all these things out ?

thermostat housing bolt size

changed my stat tonight but dropped one of the bolts down the engine bay..

does anybody know the approx size of the bolt so i can find a replacement untilk i can get a genuine bolt.

I have 2 of this clamps somewhere in the garage, will try it.

My mpg has reduced recently would oil leaking at this joint be a possible cause ?

leaking intercooler joints

I have oil around one or two of the joints on the pipework to the intercooler..

Are there any cheap fixes for this or will replacing the rubber seals do the job.

my car is a 53 plate 1.9 tdi AWX

The car runs very well but i feel i could be more economical..

The most i ever get on a run is 53-55 and i always stay around 70mph..

the reception on my radio has gone really bad over the last few weeks..

i got an aerial from the local scrappy which has improved slightly but its still not good..

does anybody know what the problem could be ?

the tyres on my car are 205/60/15

i got a price from Black Circles and when i entered my reg they said the size was 195/65/15 ,which are much cheaper..

which is the correct size ?
