hi all my daily ride is a 2004 1.9tdi awx passat estate 130, which i had had remapped to 186 bhp and 282 nm of torque,along with fmic and a bv43 turbo conversion and all is very good.so recently the clutch was starting to complain so i decided to replace it with a new luk unit complete with luk dmf ...

ive had the same trouble with mine but only two wires were corroded through so i cut and resoldered in new wire then relocated the ccm under the dashboard on the side where the fuse box would normally sit on a left hand drive model,nice and dry up there!,a couple of cable ties later and its job done...

have a check at the fuel line as it goes to the rear of the engine at the pump just under the intercooler pipe mine rubbed through there a while back and it was leaking air into the system and made for similar symptoms like your having

thanks all just done that and im surprised by the amount of redundant pipework ive removed.so my next job is to get my car remapped and have the egr and other relative error codes that ive created deleted from the cars ecu

i done mine of my 19tdi and used this from ebay item no 111097833659 just cut out the old one and welded it straight it!.

after working on nearly everything with an engine,diesel,petrol ,gas for the past 30yrs and seen smf change to dmf and the related issues with both types,i would be of the opinion to leave it with the dmf fitted as standard!.its just my 2 penneth!

yes i done my old 4mo last yr after seeing the exact same video only slight bother i had was the one single wire going into the box where the ecu sit in i couldnt get it off,but change the matrix in just a little under 2hrs! regased the aircon in work the following day and job done!

so once ive done my egr delete kit would i be correct in saying there is going to be a lot of obsolete vacuum pipes and if so are there any diagram of how to repipe whats left?

by means of "engine runaway"are you talking about if the turbo gave up and the engine started running on its own oil?.ive had this happen before on my nissan and its scary when it happens but i just put it in gear and dropped the clutch with the brakes on and that stopped it! thank god

im thinking of doing some thing similar,ordering a intercooler upgrade from darkside shortly and having read through this thread was thinking of not doing away with the egr valve as such but just blanking it off,as i want to keep the antisudder valve fitted

cured the usual leak from the pollen filter housing dried out the damp carpet on the passanger side repair corroded wire to ccm box and,then thought ill repositon it to the side of the dashboard where the fuse box would be,so its out of the way !!!
