Sound like belt slip to me mate water got onto the belts driving the power steering/alternator on the front of the engine causing it to lose its grip

I have noticed that in my upper intercooler hose at the top joint and the lower where it joins the top of the intercooler has a lot of play, not enough to come off but can be wobbled is this meant to have this much play?

thanks mate wasn't too sure as the instructions show a different hose think it shows a golf set up will be careful not to cut through as I prob would have lol can't wait to get it sorted there was a serious amount of nasty stuff in the inlet manifold and egr. was yours the same?
