Its mainly for kids tbh keep them busy with videos or internet plus i can store my like 1tb of music on it instead of having to take loads of usb drives lol

Found out its a 998VAG153 scorpion 918 alarm which is discontinued so hopefully vw may have a diagram for it if not ill trace the wires and cut it out, im just worried about the immobiliser lol hopefully thats easy to remove

Evening guys since i got my passat tdi the alarm has been very temperamental, always locked and unlocked the door and windows, but now the battery is back on after a year it wont stop going off, im not sure if the alarm is factory fitted or something that was put in by vw after as it looks like a £3...

Ok who has a b4 estate with hydro or air ride suspension setup, I've been looking at putting cash away for one of these setups but can't decide yet, any pros and cons about either or pics of setup, ease of use fitting of kits etc

Has anyone fitted a carputer into their b4? If so how did you fit the screen, was it moulded into the dash somehow or just a removable screen

ok, so my mate came round and we pushed it down the road and it started and ran fine, but as soon as we turned it off it wouldnt start so i think the starter has had it or relay 109, which ill sort them out asap, also while im on the relay thing, relay 18 was getting quite hot, is this a problem? an...

have hit it with a bar a few times, now im totally baffled, im getting power to everything, fixed a break in the starter solenoid wire charged battery and now gave it a small bump start and all i got was a spinning noise and some black smoke from the exhaust lol

It's a manual so that helps a bit, but being my first Passat I couldn't see the starter when I had a quick glance yesterday lol, I presume it's at the front of the block/box somewhere close to the battery (lol don't laugh, I know I did haha)

Thinking about it I did plug in a Bluetooth obd reader and used torque lite app and successfully connected to the Ecu, even managed to get a readout of coolant temp so must be getting power to Ecu or am I wrong lol, did think oe immobiliser but that would turn over still no? Also apart from removing the battery nothing has changed in the car since I parked it up, and it's a 1z tdi

No turning over at all do get all the clicking from the relays etc, not sure what wires I may have disturbed when pulling the battery apart from the positive to the battery lol

So the ones I have bought in the first post are correct as they are same as my old mk2 golf I had but on the golf I had drums on the back not discs like the Passat that's why I got a bit worried lol
