Yes, that’s what happens. The dash shows the boot door open even when it’s been slammed shut.

I have got an intermittent fault with the car alarm. The system shows the boot as being open. I have managed to remove the coping on the door and I can’t spot any water leaking from the rear wash. Thanks. That's helpful. I am taking it down to the dealer next week. He has said that he will only replace if it's down to manufacturing defect. My view is that it shouldn't keep jamming!,
The only defect in an excellent so hopefully it can be resolved simply and cheaply.

The retractable cover on my estate tends to jam and , in "freeing" it recently, I have managed to break off one of the lugs.
Irritating.
Has anyone else experienced problems with this cover and any ideas on a fix?
I have tried glueing it and putting in a brace but it doesn't hold.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was parked in Coed y Brenin , in the Welsh mountains, and I would be surprised if there was any source of interference. I have however checked with Google but drew a blank. Thanks again.
