Check the clips on the back of the pads, I have had them come loose before.

Probably brake light switch sticking, if and when it comes on again see if your brake lights are staying on or one is out. Mine done this before, kicked the brake pedal to the side and has'nt come on since.

Hi all, can anyone tell me how to set up vag com on Vista, I have software and usb lead but cannot get it to read any controllers. It has worked previously but laptop had to go for repairs and won't work now, I think it is to do with port set up.

Did you get any joy with your mpg yet? Mine is the same i have had timing belt checked and serviced about 1000 miles ago, mpg seemed better after service but has gone down again. Wondering would a genuine fuel filter be better to fit and what make are they.

Just got a cable for it today and run a few checks and would like some advice on the following.
Idle smooth running control- Cyl 1=.21, Cyl 2=.35, Cyl=.09, Cyl 4=.09 does this mean there is faulty injectors?
MAF Actual should be between 210-350 and on mine is 420-430 mg/str
EGR duty cycle should ...

Have you tried to bridge the sensor wire at the plug where the pad sensor plugs into, with either a wire or you can use an old sensor, cut the wire near the part where it is fitted to the section that goes into the pad and join the wires, then plug it into the car wiring plug and take the car a run ...
