Re: First mod to my Passat b7 estate
Not keen on the eye brows, they should remain in the 90’s!
I thought that too. I'm guessing that Raf is running out of things to do to his car.
What’s wrong with the cars from 90s??
I thought that the best cars were born during these years...
Anyway, I saw Golf r with the same mod ...

Re: Full lock low humming sound (B7 Passat)
If it started to occur after the belt job, look no further than taking it back.
Let them see it, listen to it.
As the belt replacement was done no long ago, it is still under warranty
With regards to the noise, it could be either the wheel bearing or the belt tensioner???
Let us know

Re: Tyre Options
On my opinion, tyres being the only connection to the ground should take no gamble, just a safe choice.
I went to a show presenting the new Conti sport Contact 6 tyres...
There was a road test of sport contact 3 tyre with a budget “perfect copy” of the tested premium tyre.
Honestly could not tell ...

So
It’s gone a bit dead on this thread, thought I’ll share my recent story
As I had done my blue needles from Golf mk7 R on to my cluster, all worked good until the day I had pulled the needles out again to adjust the sitting position of speed and rev counter needles.

Re: rear pads
The car’s computer cannot tell what position the brake is as there is no positioning sensor anywhere on the calliper.
All it can do is detect the current increase when the parking brake motors stall when the brake is fully applied, and then when you release the brake it must apply a voltage for a ...

Re: nearside door indicator
I'd first take whole mirror apart and see if it's gone loose on connection or something.
Just do some investigating first and then let us know.
It's best when you get it apart, turn indicators on and stick the voltmeter to see the voltage if it's all cool.

LEDs in projectors aren't very good either...
Especially if its 2 leds, 1 each on either side of the prongs...
There's no proper design for these led bulbs for projector headlights.
What we need is thin pronged bulb, with 4 cob leds, fitter around the prong giving proper 360 light output, then we'll ...

Anyway: question repeated: is it possible to replace non working actuator??
Any help ...

Normal roads daily.
Camping trips about 3 or 4 times a year for a weekend or week at a time.
Snow trips around 15 days a year.
Plan is to have the second set of wheels ready to swap over when needed.
