One thing that comes up to my mind is that cars built for my country (Bulgaria) are of lower quality because price is actually up to 20% cheaper than prices in the UK or DE.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory but why would 2 brand new cars and mine that is at about 2000 miles sound like this.

Does anybody experience a creaking/clicking sound from the instrument cluster/steering column?

It seems to be random and does not depend on the outside temperature, AC temperature, nor whether the vehicle is in motion or not.

In rest of Europe the petrol is actually quite cheaper than the diesel.

Depends on what you prefer driving though. I went with the 1.8 180ps petrol due to the average amount of miles I do and my preference for petrol over diesel cars.
