Re: G's 2009 Highline - Time for a colour change

Moved along so quickly I could've believe it! Paint looks really good! Just needs sanded back and buffed up. Then the long process of building it back up again. But with how quickly it's going it hope to have it back by next week.

Heading to the body shop here in the next half hour to see what progress has been made. Excited to see it!

Re: G's 2009 Highline - Time for a few changes

Wheel Wednesday! Just got them redone and it's a much better finish than I could do. Polishing isn't bad either! http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt349/gblackb6/97B2F5AF-DE15-4B6A-BE05-AEB083392CB5.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt349/gblackb6/CF3AA91A-34A5-466D-B2D0-A7D48E300DC9.jpg

Re: G's 2009 Highline - Time for a few changes

Well all four arches needed paint, so did the bonnet, front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and drivers door. So may as well respray the whole thing! I've hardly done anything all year to save up for this, so it's should transform the car!

Maybe meet you over there after I leave the car off after work. I'll have to see how much I can fit into my day. Bluetooth for one car and air for another one tomorrow too!

Would love to see a plasti dip'd carbon the flesh to see what it's like. Much cheaper than the alternative anyway :((

Would you not just fit a second hand caliper?

Interested to see how the new tank looks.

Re: The best 'other' side skirts?

Are hi-def side skirts still available from ECS cheap? They'll be your best bet. I had an accident with the widow maker jack. Car fell over while on it and pushed the side skirt in about 2". Got the jack out, heated the skirt up and pushed it back out with a screwdriver from behind. Left a litt...

Agreed AJ, gold on black is a good look, but gold also looks well with other colours too ;)

Gonna paint the wheels again in a lighter colour. Once the paint cured a little more they went darker than I wanted.

What way do you connect up the other wires to the fuse box? Or can u just take a 12v feed from somewhere else?

Mirror came with my interior, have a light switch knocking about, and got light sensor new on the forum. Just need the window of Graeme and wiring. Hoping it's not too complicated.

Re: G's 2009 Highline - Time for a few changes

Preparations for 2014 show season have started. First show this year will be be Dubshed, had applied for UD but only offered me an outside space. Not spending £400 odd to stand in the cold like last year! So this weekend saw the start of the makeover with a new look for the wheels. Painted them mys...
