B5.5 new timing belt.. advised needs timing done via vag-com
I am getting a timing belt one on my brothers B5.5 130hp 1.9tdi (2005 but i don't know 100% the engine code) and he was told when changing the timing belt it needs to go on vag-com to get the timing checked/set up Also does it need the water pump changing too? Is that true as It's something that's n...

Re: Audi A4 1.8T Oil Pressure Light
I know the Passat 1.8 has 2 oil filters but many companies list just the 1 that apparently fits all (despite the proper turbo one being larger/longer)

Re: For Sale Ads Pic's As Proof ???
I agree and disagree with this.
Would I need to do this on any ad's I place? (hopefully I'm known by a few on here?) and like billy-vw's ad, I've known him for years and he has sold plenty on here and other forum's.
Would this also apply to him? I agree for new/minimal posters but others??

Re: engine and box mounts
mine had a full fk shock/spring kit fitted and I found the front was too low, so instead of the 5 mile detour each day I reused some old sport shockers I had lying around. So I understand the lowness of the front set up (mine was a 60/40 kit and it's now about -50/55mm frontal and I guess the fk sho...

Well they fixed it! the bill was £670 for the car plus hire car and they still didn't write it off (I guess they think it's worth more than I do!) my only problem is I have mis-matching rear lights, so I'm needing a passenger side if anyone has one cheap? So I am now going to do some more work and ...

Well it's gone to the repairers today, luckily the other party has admitted fault so only a top repair will do (as it was perfect before). I should know in the next few days whether it will b fixed or not!!
(I only value it around £1000....so we will see!!)

Well I though I should update this.... she's now damaged on the rear quarter/light area with a very deep scrape and dent (I will post some pics later). so unless the repair is very cheap I think it will be written off!! :-q the good thing was there was lots of witnesses and their insurance has alrea...

the spring in my latch has/was snapped... and it meant the latch wouldnt catch when shutting, I've bodged mine for the time being with a new spring and it works fine.
could be worth checking (you can feel the spring tension on the boot latch)

I don't know how people get 40mpg + although with my motorway driving at the weekend I only got about 5-10 miles of 70mph running so I guess it would of gone higher If I would of kept on going?

tuner bolts have a key/adaptor that fits into the bolt middle to tighten/undo unlike normals that use a socket on the outside... mine has then as my rims have the smaller bolt holes http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7127/7609693562_ee68a6806b.jpg (I think you can see the splines on the inside of the bol...

also look for some tuner bolts as the bolt holes are small on them wheels (going by your pic) and it saves re-drilling the rims (they cost about £40 the set...I have them on mine with mb wheels)
