I've got a rattle inside the dash roughly around the middle vent area but I cannot find anything, haven't had the radio out yet but are there any common rattly places to look out for, it's driving me nuts

On my drivers door everything works bar the illuminations on the control and the drivers mirror,
Checked all fuses and there's obviously power going to all the switches but is there a different wire foe the illuminations

Explain though why I would spend 150 bucks on a remapped ecu to get to 112 bhp when a tuning box or bigger nozzles for a third of the price.

What does it plug into then??

looks to me like a 10 pin connector so will not fit

Just spoke to the manufacturer and apparently I needed do at least 50km for the engine to do a heat cycle and adjust to the tuning box,, does that sound right to you guys

I've only done 2 miles with it on and haven't noticed much difference, I remember my old 110 being quite rapid for what it was although the power delivery of my 90 is a lot smoother so it's difficult to compare

I've got a 90hp ahu 1.9 tdi and I've just fitted a tuning box off eBay that goes in line with the fuel pump, apparently it should take it up to 120 ish which is all I wanted as I don't want a serious tune but just so it felt like my old 110 afn, should I notice a big difference, haven't tried it up ...

I did a search with lots of threads on it but None have been updated with fixes

My passat has only done 106 k but the gearchange is sloppy with a lot of play on the gear stick.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Could it be resistors in the actual gauge itself, I know b5 gauges were temperamental.


On a side note, wonder if Ross tech will do a vag com phone app as phones are better than a lot of laptops these days

finally sorted my low boost problem on the 99 90hp saloon and it was the MAF,, yeah yeah heard it all before I hear you say but I found out some useful info that helped me out.

I had a code reader ( not Vag) that said their was no codes and the maf readings were 20 grams per second and went up to ...

That's interesting as I have deleted the egr and think I may have a problem with my n75, I might swap the n18 and n75 over to see if it makes any difference. It's only a ahu

on my 90bhp ahu I am just looking over the braided vacuum lines ,,, which ones are most likely to split , is it the braided part that splits or the plastic part , also if they are split what do you replace them with .


On the AHU engine , i can see two solenoids . one is at the front of the engine ...

when I get the 90hp ahu running properly I would like to tune it a bit , dont realy want any more than 120bhp and havent got much dosh to throw at it so I was considering one of those tuning box things on ebay for about £50 .

Cheers Fox. the egr was worse than those pictures but ive put a blancking plate on the inlet now so its irrelevent although i bet the manifold has a lot in so will give that a clean when I can , whats best to clean it with ??? i was thinking poundland oven cleaner or petrol,

just popped out and the EGR was so gunged up it couldn't have been working anyway so i just made a block off plate just in case it was slightly open , not sure what else to try

The passat I just bought idles and runs fine and pokey below 2.5k but it seems to struggle a bit after then. I first though it may be the usual Maf but unplugged that and it was even slower .Plugged it into a code reader and nothing stored and Maf was giving out good readings & I changed the air ...

Haha I got £450 for the wife and the new passat cost £400 so better car and 50 notes in my pocket so good times, it's only done 100k so a low miler for a tdi
