Re: Passat Brake Failure....WHILE DRIVING!

Update: took the wheel off and eventually mannaged to get the caliper off the carrier...was alot of work as the pads were being pushed into the disk as tho the car was under heavy braking. but the piston's movement is very limited, and a jumpy. you can hear it catching on something, so im going to t...

Re: Cambelt and water pump

certainly is a piece of mind, and its alot cheaper than having the belt go snap while driving! that was the best price by far! sounds alot smoother now without a grindy water pump - ive got to be honest though, i didnt realise it was grinding, it was only after it was replaced, that i noticed tjhe d...

Cambelt and water pump

my passat had hit 164,500 miles last week - due for a cambelt change, but looking through the history i couldnt find any record of it being done...so was a bit worried to say they least. rang up Murray VW for a good laugh at the price they'd quote for a cambelt kit, and water pump including fitting,...

i'd been looking at this, and had over looked the sensor ontop of my original intercooler, thinking it would be on the new pipe...i can see now why its only £200...

Re: WEST COUNTRY/CORNISH AREA UKP MEET

ye a bra that fits might be a good bet, but it still looked good i gotta say! on the wheel front, im not sure, i like them...i think they suit the style of the car - real squat like, but as you've got coilovers, you could wind them down if you went any smaller!

what rims you thinking about?

Re: WEST COUNTRY/CORNISH AREA UKP MEET

Not a worry Rob, Me and Chris are contemplating trying to make this a regular meet idea, as there isn't much about for us Passat owners so i think it would be good to get a group together - and it always seems to be groups of 106's and Saxo's driving round in massive loud SLOOOOW convoys so lets pla...
