Starting issue 2011 Passat CC DSG

Hi all. Hope someone can help me. I have a 2011 Passat CC TDI DSG with 70k on the clock. Purchased only very recently and discovering gremlins here and there. I seem to have a starting issue which is difficult to explain but here goes. Firstly, when I start the car, the whole process feels "vio...

Poor insurance repair when under previous owner

Hello all, I have a 2010 Passat (mileage 63k) that I purchased 3 months ago privately. Before purchasing it, I was aware the vehicle had been in a minor impact and this was repaired by the Insurers approved repairers. The quality of the repair appeared adequate and I purchased the vehicle. All was w...

What tyres are you rolling?

Hi all, I'm after opinions. I currently have continental sport contact 5 on my Passat 170 DSG. I have no issue with them and if I had to be pedantic, I would say the tyres are a bit loud but can't say for certain as I've never had a car with frameless doors before. Anyway, my tyres are starting to w...

Passat CC boot latch problem

Hi all, I have a 2010 Passat CC and everything is well except for the boot latch. It's been like it for 3 months since I purchased the car so I suppose it's time to fix it. The boot opens fine with no problems. When the boot is closed, all sensors are fine and there are no problems with any error li...

Re: HID kits for Passat CC

That looks really good. How does your beam lights work? Does that come from the same projector headlight bulb? Is the projector motorised like on modern adaptive lighting systems? Or does the beam light come from a different bulb? Sorry about the machine gunning of questions. Also, have you ever MOT...

Re: After market projector Headlights

Would anyone who has had this done to their Passat B6 or CC upload a pic please? I'm thinking of getting this done to my CC but nervous of not liking the end result both in looks and all round brightness of the lights itself.

Re: HID kits for Passat CC

Hi cookie. I just checked mine and it is also a reflector headlight. Not sure what I've been reading on the net. Where are HID retrofit based? I've been reading up on these. Am I correct in saying that the conversion will not include auto levelling and headlamp washers? Would you be going for the bi...

Re: Dashcams Please Advise

I just installed a A118c hardwired in my Passat 2010 CC. I can help/offer assistance. Basically purchased a cigarette socket and a piggyback fuse holder. Hid the cables in the headliner and A pillar. Used plenty of electrical tape to hold everything in place along with pipe lagging to prevent rattle...

HID kits for Passat CC

Has anyone used HID kits for a 2010 Passat CC? What is the quality like?

I am doing research and some have said HID kits on these (Passat CC) look tacky and some have commented that the kits are not suited to the projection type headlights.

Re: Passat CC 2010 replace RNS315 with?

Well just an update. As mentioned, my biggest issue was the postcode restrictions. My father in law has the same Passat on a 2010 and he purchased an updated sat nav disk from eBay a V4 RNS310 2012 for GB & Ire. I put this in my car and it took 40 minutes for it to install on the SD card but whe...

Hi mind riot. Thanks but not sure the eonon is for me. Also not sure if it will work with the iPhone. What car have you put it in? Does it work with the mfd? Dubber36 Well the VW dealer told me that it's a straight swap of the units and all existing features will work the same. But then some website...

Passat CC 2010 replace RNS315 with?

Hi all, I recently purchased a Passat CC GT and absolutely love it. However, since owning it, I have found 1 major drawback. The sat nav only accepts 5 digit postcodes which is a nightmare in my line of work (I visit many businesses where their are no street names). I know new rns315 have 7 digit po...

Re: ABS & ESP warning lights question !

Hey guys,

I have a similar problem at the moment... Both the EPS and ABS lights are staying on.

I changed the CV boot for the MOT yesterday and today I have the warning lights on the dash.

Can't see any visual damage to the sensors... anyone know how to reset the lights???

Re: LAPTOP TO HDTV QUIERY

a 3.5 mm wire in combination with your VGA cable WILL NOT give you sound through your TV. The only way you can do it is to hook up some speakers direct to your laptop and play sound through there. The reason for this is because your TV will not know how to bring your picture and sound through the sa...

Brake warning light reset?

Hey Guys, I changed my discs and pads changed a couple of months ago... I did the work myself and I may have screwed it up a little. A couple of days ago my brake warning light came on and then I started to hear a harsh grinding noise. Opened her up and I found that a bolt was missing for the calipe...
