it means its ok for now but if it gets worse and you dont fix it to the point where you could be prosecuted for having an unroadworthy vehicle its not their fault cos they told you to fix it

Re: jumpy TDI
mine is like this, lumpy on start up and worse in cold weather. also at low revs it chugs when you put the foot down and doesnt really pick up and go. although i dont know if that could be caused by this, or the MAF, or N75, or EGR?? Also my coolant temp sensor is busted, ive heard this can make it ...

LOL
went out there, they didnt flash when i unlocked or locked it. dont flash when you use the stalk or the hazard button.
seems to me like it must be a fuse. its too cold to be out changing fuses tho so im posting on here instead haha

Re: TDi130 or V6TDI??
i would say the v6 is probably a bit thirstier its two more cylinders and 600 more cc its bound to do 10-15 less mpg at least. v6 has n extra 30bhp i think but is a heavier engine. the tdi 130 will safely and reliably map to 175 brake and is cheap and easy to maintin. i imagine the v6 would be worse...

Re: Buying a Passat - Help!

Re: EGR deletion.
Effectively I have stopped the EGR working on my car (2002 130bhp awx) by removing the vacuum supply from the EGR valve and I have never had any problems. I found doing that improved throttle response a bit as exhaust gas is not diverted from exhaust manifold into the inlet manifold so turbo gets g...
