Re: window reg removal from donor door

You need it to still be operational in an ideal world. The glass needs to come out before you can get the door skin off which the regulator is attached to.

Re: Thule roof bars - will these fit?

Theres a guy that sells all leisure gear including roofbars and boxes called the Journey centre on barbot hall road. He can probably help you out. Roofbars fit on saloons by taking the plastic runners out of the roof and gripping around the roof and under the door seal. If you open the doors and loo...

No mate. You'd need different feet. Those look like the ones that grip around roof rails.

Just as a note, it's definitely not the same clutch for the 1.9pd and 2.8 petrol. They might have the same dimensions and even the same spline count, but there's two different part numbers for them.

Re: 2.8 clutch fit AVF

Silly question but wouldn't the AVF 1.9tdi produce very similar if not more torque than the 2.8 V6? There's not that much that will fit that may be an upgrade, I have a 3.0TDI clutch in mine but that wasn't straight forward and I wouldn't recommend it for people to do, although though mine has run w...

You'd sell the car rather than just get a gutted DPF pipe in there? Its only a visual inspection same as cats have been for years.

Have you tried a different ccm in case the one in there has just fried for whatever reason? If you have access to one it might be easier than chasing wiring to start with.

I have decided to keep the Passat... for now, maybe another 6 months to a year I'll have a look what I can do. Or things coul...

Finally decided to put the wings on that I'd had done. So no more rust and they are the later spec ones to go with the mirrors. The colour match isn't perfect but other than a full respray its just going to have to do. :-?? Few pics to spice it up a little... yes its on different wheels again but th...

Have the rear springs got the rubber buffers in? If not then getting those might bring it up just enough to match the front arch gap. Have a feeling I had a pair of rear adjusters that only got thrown out the other week too :???:

You're both right in a way. But I've had the winter blues with it before and it's not the same I can tell. (No excuse for winter blues I've got a garage to play in now lol.) I don't really want to put the money in and that's mainly because of the value of the car, seems a bit daft spending upwards o...

Problem is I'm at a stage where theres not much more I want to do to it that isn't silly money. More power and I'm looking turbo + injectors, looks wise I'd have to go air so its practical too at a height I prefer, I'd like a full respray to get all the panels matching lol.
