This is my daily... These were taken on Monday as soon as i'd fitted the coilies. It's settled about another 5-10mm since then!

Re: green b5 saloon- why did i do that ?
Looks good Lee  I'm running mine as low as i possibly can. The forecourt for my workshop is quite rough, and on one part the car beaches and sits right down on the alloy jacking plate thingy behind the front subframe :P I need to get to a scrappy and get some spare ones, as i think i'll be wea...

Re: RS8 Alloys on a black passat (advice needed)
I have the RS8 replicas on my B5, but mine are ET35 and fill the arches nicely (3mm spacer on rears too). I bought mine off a friend who'd had them on his Mk4 Golf for a year. The laquer had peeled on all 4, so i got the DA sander out and refurbed them, and painted them gloss black  They do we...

Re: Confused about Coilovers
I've got hot tuning (TA Technix) coilies on mine. The ride quality is great considering how low i'm running!
The only problem i've got at the moment is the n/s/f spring is rubbing on the bolt for the top arm inner bush Just need to turn the spring when i get a minute so it misses

I've just had to remove my front mudflaps, as they were dragging on the floor all the time
The rears are ok though, and only catch occasionally.

Re: Carefull when buying angel eyes for B5 passat.
But the last testing centre was quite out of my way until i found this new place, best bit about it, when the person took it for testing, he rang 2 people up, one of those people from VW and he said he's never heard of lights that you can change from LHD to RHD just like that, And i was adamant whe...

Check bulbs are fitted the right way round, and also check for corrosion on the bulb holder and plug. Sounds like there's a short somewhere, or a bulb fitted wrong.

Re: b5 gen vw xenons help?
I've just fitted mine today Dave... Make sure the 2 pin plug on the ballast pack is connected the right way round. The clip on the wiring plug snaps over the wedge shaped notch, not the post. If this is the wrong polarity it could cause the problem you're having. I'll add some pics in the morning so...

Re: V6 4motion with black rs6
If you're running the same width tyres all round, it doesn't matter if the rims are different widths. Also, don't worry about spacers and wheel offsets upsetting the diffs etc. They wont  As long as all 4 wheels turn at the same speed and have the same tread pattern, that's all you have to wor...

I think it has alot to do with how the copper perceives you and your car... I used to get hassle every time i went out in my escort turbo and impreza, even though both cars were 100% legal! Then i had a run of 3 skylines, and never got pulled once... The last one had THE loudest exhaust in the world...

Re: havnt seen this done much
I don't think there is an actual "minimum light output" for headlamps... As long as they emit (sp?) enough light to light up the road, and have the correct beam pattern.
They look cool tho, much better than all that chrome IMO... Not too dark either
