I finally got round to changing my gearbox yesterday after it self destructed, anyway all was going well until it came to bleeding the clutch, i don't normally take the pipes off the slave cylinders on customers cars but my apprentice decided to on mine..... Either way i set at bleeding it up, crack...

Iv done a few gaskets on the pds now, usually jettas (my garage is on a taxi base) not that bad of a job really the answer to not finding tools "its hangin up on the floor" haha

You can put a manual boost controller on any turbo engine it just bypasses the standard system, but some cars don't like it and sometimes is a bit pointless because you cant get more than standard without it either boost spiking or going into limp mode, i have read on here theres a lad running 1 at ...

I was gonna chuck a manual boost controller at it, im sure iv got 1 in ma box at work, but like a sed im unsure with these 20vs nowin my luck il melt it, il keep me eyes open for a bigger turbo, what other turbos will directly bolt on? Not fussed about oil lines i can work round them im sure iv got ...

Thanks for your reply, i shall book it for a session on the rolling road to see the outcome, bigger turbo sounds the way to go, but Wich 1 to go for? fittings no issue being a mechanic, just finding 1 at the right price

Hi all, iv done alot of research and found mixed answers, iv owned, worked on and evan built alot of old turbos and generally adjusting boost on them was no issue and caused no problems (unless you went too far) but iv never really played about with or worked on a vag 20v, id like to get more boost ...
