managed to free it up by putting it in gear, pressing clutch and then starting engine. started up with a slight grating noise for about a second but then its been running fine fingers crossed. will have to keep an eye on it though to make sure it doesn't seize up again but fingers crossed it'll be ok

ah yes I should have specified mine is the saloon. any idea where I can get the number plate lights from for the saloon. Ill get the DRL's ordered and thanks to RAFs handy video I should be able to get them done in no time

right guys I'm about to start modding my passat and thought while I have a day off i might as well pick up some LED number plate bulbs. what size bulb do I need and also what size bulbs for the DRLs

just upgraded mine to a set of ring xenon ultima +120% and straight away you can tell the difference. gives a nice crisp white instead of the dull yellow on standards but more expensive at £25.99 but all in all great set of bulbs
