Re: Replace halogen headlight with LED/Xenon

Working is a real joy only spoilt by smart bum presenters who believe that they know a great deal more than they actually do! Personally I'm glad that the standard's regarding diy headlamp convertions as almost all are unsatisfactory in either light output or beam pattern, and just for information a...

Re: Replace halogen headlight with LED/Xenon

Beam pattern & light output is checked with approved equipment, and a visual assment is made on the wiring and light colour.
Hid/led lamps are a different colour & easy to spot by an experienced tester, who will figure it out in short order.

Re: Replace halogen headlight with LED/Xenon

As a mot tester I would like to point out a few things. There's now a fail for headlamp bulb/light source and lamp being incompatible. Most led/hid headlamps are required by law to to have a cleaning device ie washer. Hid/led headlamps are required by law to to have a automatic level device. Afterma...

When I am rich enough to fill my tank the best way is to hold the filler nozzle horizontal then it doesn't click out till it is actually dull if you know what I mean.

Creeping clutch pedal

Hi all, I am fail sure that this has probably been talked about before, but here we go again. For a few months I have had to give the clutch pedal a couple of pump's 1st thing in the morning and that will ensure a drive to work & home without any drama. Last week I took the plunge & replaced...

Re: Parking Brake/Auto Hold - issue on B7?

The issue of parking brakes that operate on discs releasing is not limited to EPB, as any hot brake disc will shrink when it cools down. Does anyone else know about the Citroen parking brake that operates on the front brakes, that due to more applied effort get hotter than rear brakes, shrink on coo...

Re: Parking Brake/Auto Hold - issue on B7?

EPB is legal for mot IF it works as intended, it has after all been type approved by our EU master's. If you learn the "rules of operation" for the auto hold / epb & figure out how to get the best from these systems I can sure that you will find that these two system's complement each ...

Re: EPB failure

EPB are becoming more popular because they are effective and powerful & can be controlled by an ECU, and hand operated parking brake's do fail with snapping cable's, sticking on or just not having enough effort or stopping power. By having an electric motor acting directly it removes one of the ...

Pollen filter should be changing at least 1 time each year & regass every 2. I am fairly sure that you have to use the on button to make it work.

Re: REAR CAMBER / TOE??

I guess when you vary from standard you make your own path, I suppose that you could have the front & rear tracking checked to see if it is far from stadard and adjusted accordingly.
