Not nessesarily, the amount of 'stick out' also depends on the width of the wheel.

I have 8.5" ,et35 rims on my B7, lowered 40mm no rubbing.

Ah didn't know they would fit , having looked around the internet it would seem that a lot of people use this r36 bar as an upgrade in many different cars!

I'm not really experiencing any issues as such, I just think a stronger rear bar would help the car rotate in the middle of a corner.

Ah didn't know they would fit , having looked around the internet it would seem that a lot of people use this r36 bar as an upgrade in many different cars!

Thicker Rear ARB?

Hi there, I have a 2011 2.0TDi passat estate and I can't help but think that a thicker rear ARB would improve the handling greatly. My question is, is there a thicker one off another model that would fit?

Hi there, no you need the m10 bolts and washers you mentioned, the bumper bar bolts are m8.
