hey sorry I dont mean to hijack your post but could you post some places of where you will be getting yours from? I was about to post the very same thing regarding HID's, By the way which temp are you looking to get for your B6? No problem, I've just been looking on Ebay like I have done with all m...
I'm looking to get some HID's (I get them for every car I have) for my 2006 B6, and the kit I was reading about said that they are not for CANBUS systems which relate to many cars 2004 or older...What the hell is CANBUS? With the B6 is is just as simple as with every other car to fit?...put the bulb...
There's only 97k on mine, I bought it at the end of January with 87k on it, one owner fsh. Just had a quick look on auto trader and there's half a dozen diesel estates with under 80k on them and within 60 miles of me. I'm sure after a bit more searching one with low milage will pop up B-) I'm findi...
Nice one. My B5.5 saloon must just be a little fetus with only 80k on the clock. It had 17k when I bought it and I have put no money into the engine apart from servicing, cam belt and clutch. The clutch didn't need doing but I got an uprated one for the remap.
Cheers. I am after an estate passat now as my saloon is just too small for the family and 3dogs lol I have managed to up my budget to 5K and I am finding alot more lower mileage ones now. It's a shame to get rid of my saloon as it's only done 80k but I need more room
I have noticed with alot of tdi130 pd's that there is alot for sale around the 130k mark. Is there any reason for this? I heard something about faulty injectors around that mileage but I don't know if I heard right.
Would 2nd hand B5.5's of that mileage be something to avoid?
I'm after a new car. I have seen a nice 2002 AUDI A4 2.4SE avant with 80k miles for a good price. Basically with VAG cars is 80k miles alot for petrol versions? I'm used to buying diesels but struggling to find one with my budget and below 100k. Also, with Vag's and petrols is there anything to watc...
Cheers, I have checked all that this morning and actuator is working perfect. The problem is sounding to me more like the MAF now. I took it out for a good going earlier and when I put my foot down, roughly around 3k rpm it's as if it is misfiring. A complete loss of power for a second then it picks...
Ahh ok cheers. I figured it had a reason to be there other wise they wouldn't have made it. So I roughened up the surface of the plastic and put a good couple coats of fibreglass on for now till I get a new one. Mind you it's probably stronger than the origional now
I have changed all the vacuum pipes now and it is still the same. Next on the job list is either the N75 or the MAP sensor. Why not to take turbo off and check? It's not about the mileage of the car. In my opinion later B5.5 were worse made than the first ones. Because all my tools got stonlen and a...
I spoke to someone else today and they said it could even be the turbo veins that's the problem. but I personally don't think so as it has just covered 75k miles. Another cause he said could be bad fueling, so once I change the vacuum hoses tonight and they don't work I will change the N75 and so on...
Cool Cheers, I remember now, it's the valve that's just infront of the turbo isn't it?...with the big ball next to it I have a roll of silicone hosing somewhere I got off ebay last year so I will look it out later.
Hey, not been on here for years. Basically I have a 54plate tdi pd130 and it's been remapped. Just recently The car has been playing up. Under 2000rpm the turbo doesn't spool up as fast as normal since last week. it used to spool up nice and quick and feel nice and torquey, now it feels like an onld...

haha brilliant...reminds me of when i was a kid and i was in the forrest. i found a red berry so i sniffed it but it got lodged right in the ridge of my nose for a good day till i managed to sneeze it out. not bad compared to my brother who used to eat woodlice
