Re: A lot of white smokes

sounds like the turbo seals are shot, take the intake pipe off from the air filter to the turbo (2 jubilee clips and 2 10mm bolts) and wiggle the end of the turbo shaft, if its loose as hell and can touch the outer casing of he turbo then DONT drive it as any chipped bits of impellor could be headin...

soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the joints and fittings of your airride, (not the electrics obviously) and wait for the bubbles to appear. spray the top and bottom of the bags too.

Re: Boost Come In Late 3.5K Plus

let us know if you get to the bottom of this, ive tried a new map, map, N75, turbo, vac lines/ simplification, CTS and i still have no boost whatsoever untill about 2100rpm then its off like a rocket. used to pick up from 1600rpm-ish and ive not mapped it or modified anything to warrent a change.

Re: 6 speed box worth It??

i went SMF conversion from ECP, valeo one and its been perfect the last year so far, no louder than the DMF, no chatter that people claim of, no vibration etc. the only time i notice it noisy is turning the car off, so dip the clutch and its all good. ive not exactly been easy on the clutch and with...

Re: Bonnet bra ' s

i had a bonnet bra on my stonehenge grey passat, ran it over winter to protect the nose from grit and sh*t, turns out it was a waste of time as poo got underneath it and scratched a loverly long line across the bonnet. (mine was a genuine AutoBra one too) wouldnt bother, use scene tape if your goin ...

Re: B5.5 looks better than b6 ( photo opportunity arises)

i recently had this discussion funny enough! my personal opinion is that most modern vws are all looking the same these days. the new passat looks like the new jetta, the new golf looks like the old one with sharper lines... at least the B5 and .5 stood out in the vw range, almost unique compared to...

you can get your old unit reconditioned if your on a budget, my alternator was £200+.... (pd130 with heated seats etc)

Re: 1.9 tdi 100 bhp to 130 bhp

my missus has a pd105 in her jetta, we had it mapped to 142bhp as it just felt gutless, so far we have had no problem at all and tbh it drives and feels more lively than my mapped and uprated AWX!
50mpg everywhere with a really nice torque curve for safe overtaking.
