Re: 16v Cams.
For anyone reading this i have now answered my own question through trial and error. The timing sprockets do come off the end of the cams with a good set of pullers and are interchangeable.I now have my original 9a sprockets running on the kr cams with the original timing chain also, all simply cos th...

Re: 16v Cams.
Thanks for the reply buddy, the sprockets teeth have far less depth on them compared to the original ones.If they were driving my enduro bike i would have replaced them long ago.Not to sure what to think right now,i can't see they would make them with such a small amount of depth on them! :-? Anyhow ...

Can anyone out there tell me if the timing chain sprockets on the KR/9A camshafts can be removed and replaced once worn? Looks like there is a key way in each one which sort of indicates they maybe removeable, anyone done this!
Thanks Steve.
Thanks Steve.

Seen this before on my Mk1 Golf Gti.I had just changed the oil/filter etc and put fully synthetic Silkolene in at a cost of over £40,then drove sister to Manchester airport only to have the oil warning lamp and buzzer come on whilst still on the M6!Pulled into the services rapido, popped the bonnet ...

9A/KR CAM SWAP!
Hi guys, got a pair of KR cams to go in my 9a Passat. Now looking at the spec on both of these and doing some work with the digital calipers, can anyone confirm it's just the inlet cam that's actually different and produces said power increase.Recently bent 4 inlet valves when the belt went :0  :...

Hi buddy,i've looked into this myself cos i seem to get through standard mounts on a regular basis due to slightly shorter uprated springs on front of my saloon.Mk2 Golf mounts are the exact same ones as on B3s.The Mk2 G60 Golf mounts are uprated versions of these and from my investigations will be ...

Re: Door handle replacement
Yeah your right about common fault with them breaking like that! The small arm on the back of the handle with the plastic nipple on,connects with the flat arm inside the door when you pull the handle to open it.If i'm correct i think the plastic nipple part is threaded so it can be adjusted in or out...
