Timing belt was done earlier this year, i think it was an intermediate service that was done. So is the service only an oil and filter change, and filters ?


I may get the timing done as well, glow plugs ? No mention of plugs being changed either.

Hi Guys, Could anyone please tell me what is involved with a 166k service ? brakes, cam belt, fuel pump, fuel filter all done. Is it worth getting the timing done, also is there is recommendations for garages located in the Hinckley, leicestershire area ? Any advice or info appreciated ! Thanks !!

Feedback.... changing the the fuel filter has fixed the issue, which is great news. I normall have to end up spending loads on issues like this !

However I'm interested in the lift pump issue, is there anywhere where I can do some reading please.

Ok, ordered a new filter, will let you guys know the outcome.

BTW GSF are doing 25% off service parts using 'GSF25' and free delivery.

The reason I was doing 3500 revs is because I pulled out on a steep dual carriage way and needed to get up to speed !

Mine's a 140bhp, the fuel filter looks the same.

So do you guys suggest changing the filter and see how I get on ?

Right, Just checked the fuel filter casing and yes it has the Torq screws, so I guess the filter is located inside. I will change that and see what happens.

Not sure when it was last changed, no mention of it in the service history.

Can I carry out the EGR delete ?
