I seem to have the same problem. Boot won't latch shut, pressing the button under the numberplate produces a whirring noise but nothing seems to happen when I slam the boot shut. How easy is it to remove the trim and this lock/latch part? Thanks.

I find the standard seats really soggy. Been looking at sports seats on eBay from a b6. Firstly, are they better in terms of comfort & support than standard b7 ones, and do they fit?

Not sure about the revs on tickover, will check. However when I drive away and change up thru the gears, it's lumpy all the way, but only for 5 mins. Then it's perfectly normal.
