it's a major part you don't want to skimp on get one made by a company with a good reputation or from a main dealer it's not worth the risk

i took a trip to milton keynes for mine to be done by mike at motech as he did all the staff cars for pvw and is highly recomended on edition38 so it was a no brainer for me

i got the sensor from gsf using my reg and the garage replaced it for my i think it was green it was a while ago though

using vag com to test / fault find
can anyone tell me how i can test and hopefully narrow down an intermittent fault using vag com basically the engine temp gauge sometimes drops off and doesn't have a reading on it i have had the temp sensor replaced which made no difference vag com shows it as an intermittent fault and i just wonde...

sounds like it's a 4 motion interior i had to mod mine suing some bits from my original interior to get it too fit also heated seats are a must getting into cold leather seats in the winter is horrible again retro fit wasn't too bad just time consuming more than anything

mine does this sometimes i have changed the temp sensor but it didn't make a difference i have a tdi 130

which pipe is the vac pipe to stop the egr working ?
can anyone guide me as i want to remove and block up the vac pipe to stop the egr working i would also like to clean the egr while i'm at it i'v found a few guides / pics but am still unclear as to where it is
do i need new gaskets if i remove the inlet manifold to clean it ?

thats the plan remove wheels suspension grill leave leather and all extras in and sell it that way

is yours an estate as the estates tend to go for stronger money than the salloons i know when i managed to find it a year ago i was looking at

well i'm going on a road trip in march in the passat will be doin about 2000 miles but when i get back i'm planning on selling the car i'll advertise it as is with wheels suspension etc but think i'll be better to put the standard wheels and suspension on and sell it that way but not sure what it's ...

didn't look to be much room for a bigger disk if there not removed still need to find me some carriers and pads got the disks

on my front brakes it has a shield type thing surrounding part of the disk did you just remove it and leave it off ?

mine did this and i found the plug had come loose in the boot behind the trim where the fuel cap it plugged it back in properly and had no probs

i'm gonna be doing this before i go to the ring early next year will keep my eyes out for cheap carriers disks and pads if anyone can point me in the right direction of some good quality sensibly priced ones i'd be very happy

i have seen a few people on mk4 golf forums saying you can get the needles to light up when the lights aren't on using vag tacho and was wondering if this works on the passat as well ? and if so how do you do it and is there anything else you can do with it thats usefull ?

i really hope you have sealed the box up well as i can see gaps in the pics which will ruin the sound especially if your running sealed
