Finally got panel off and fitted replacement sensor - sadly no improvement so back to the drawing board again. At least I now have the later style sensor fitted which I guess is no bad thing.

Replacement sensor (new type) finally arrived - 5 days late! Now I can't get to the old sensor.. That T20 screw is refusing to budge so any thoughts welcome. The screw is just turning round but not actually coming out - don't want to risk damaging anything so fix is on hold for now.

That sounds like a real possibility so I've ordered a second hand one (latest version) from Germany. Should be here Monday so I'll update after I've fitted and tested it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you know where the cabin interior air temp sensor is located Mitch?

Fuses have been checked but not sure about relays. I wouldn't know where to start on the relays. Would have hoped the aircon specialist would have checked these but maybe not..
