Car amplifier

So I have installed a raspberry pi in my car with a 7inch touch screen display and running android auto on it which works great and I love it, but atm I have been routing the audio through my radio (which has a jack input) which I have relocated in the glovebox temporarily. I would like to get an am...

Re: Timo's B5.5

I remembered the dyno person asking me if the car has traction control (esp) and I said yes but I can turn it off... and I forgot to do so (i don't think he turned it off either).

I'm wondering whether that could of been a factor but would it be that dramatic?

The only benefit I have is a straight through 2.5 decat exhaust , super linear torque but made 10 ftlb less than quoted peak .
Could a decat make that much difference?

Something is wrong as std remap is 288 lbft and yours is less than the 275 lbft clutch saving ( mine made 265 lbft ) . Mine . http://rs1310.pbsrc.com/albums/s645/Gazwould/18d7788b-d47b-4c9f-8d71-d324604756e8_zpsf4b11674.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip Hmm, I'll speak to Simon maybe I can get him t...

Re: Timo's B5.5

You know the clutch saving is a 175 bhp map ? really? I thought it was about 160bhp, maybe cause of the new camshafts will I need a new map? Std profile camshaft , no new map required . Ordinary remap is 163 bhp , clutch saving 175 bhp with less but linear torque . This is the problem with having j...

Re: pd 130

Apologies for the slow reply. If you would like to increase the bhp and torque output and improve the driveability of your car then of course the remap will benefit you :esm Of course, I can't say for certain that your clutch wont slip after the remap, because I do not know the current condition it...

Re: Timo's B5.5

Probably the best one , although I've never seen a dyno plot print out of the regular file . Well...guess what Gaz, I did it :D This is with the new camshafts so I presume if your car has the original camshafts it will be slightly less powered. But I'm very happy with the power and torque output. T...

After that I went to my next holiday, camping in Devon very beautiful there!, and managed to peak at 58mpg on my dash readings and the car felt way more responsive especially at low revs and seemed to be pulling for a lot longer than before. https://timo93.blob.core.windows.net/images/ukpassats/4182...

For the price, would be worth getting the other side done. Did you take out the grease of the old one and have a look for damage. So, I have changed the driver side one last night...which was a bit of a pain to try and get it out without releasing any of the suspension arms... OEM Driveshafts

Hi All, I'm looking to tackle replacing one of my driveshafts as I have a bad clunk sound when I pull away really fast or when breaking. It also happens when I'm at full lock and reverse. Changed all my suspension control arms lower and upper plus new shocks and springs... but the clunk is still the...
