I had a problem for ages, ended up being the alternator draing the battery, it charged whilst the engine was running but drained when turned off, very rare so i'm told but worth looking at as its not fused.

Same issue as mine mate, looks much better but would look better still with the fronts done! Is it worth the fuss ? Would it be legal ? Who knows but all in all it looks bloody sweet

Just for info

If you've been looking for a battery drain and have pulled all your fuses out, including the big 60amp and 40amp buggers by the relays, you will need to recode the brakelight / abs pump / steering sensors !

My car is now back to full working order for the first time in ages #:-s

I doubt it mate, at the grand old age of 39 it's not really my thing anymore, plus time etc etc, but that said I might drop by just to look at your motor :ymapplause:

Thanks for your reply Karl I'm really having trouble getting my head round this, I had no lights on the dash before I started pulling fuses checking for the battery drain, then at last found the alternator as the source then bam ! abs and traction lights are on (all the time on the drive at home not...

I have this same problem Had a new brake light switch fitted by the garage after abs lights and traction control lights came up on the dash, I now have brake lights ! thats great but I still have the dash lights on. They did a code scan and it came up with something like g201 permanent fault abs pum...

Seikel used to make a kit for the passat it would seem, VW also did a rough road package ("BB or BR")

I stumbled on it by accident really but though it might be different
