R line can have tow bars fitted, just need different covers

This may help you, o think the part that you are seeing in the picture is the screw thread that the roof runs over

Sorted, think it's got to be one of only a select few r lines with a towbar.
Vw said bumper needs replacing for standard one !
But this place checked into it ordered a part rear skirt and sorted the whole thing.

Faster idle could be because you set the heaters to hot, I have noticed this that my car picks up the revs by few 100 revs when heat dial set to max heat, I guess the car is trying to warm it up quicker for you.
