Sounds like oil pump or pump drive fault
if you google it its common
has the garage done an oil pressure test ?

You need both the skc codes from the clusters and vcds or odis to code them in.

I have had this with a golf and the only way to code in a new key/ used keys was to delete all the keys and start fresh.
But you need the right tools to do this and must be 100% you have the skc or the tools to pull the skc pin.

This is why there so much and not many people want to touch them
I know of a few now that have had all sorts of running problems when not using this tool but using the old school bar and pin or even tipex

what system are you doing a scan on?
Are you doing a full car scan of all systems installed?
What tool are you using for the scan?

I think i will be ok on the 'a person not competent to do so'. area as being a ex vag trained tech !

yeah it can be done
i have done it but its tight

Injector balance might give you an idea
Also check the fuel pressure on the test point of the tandem pump test point if its the injector o rings you will get a low reading where its leaking past
Is the oil level high?

Could be any one of these

Tandem pump
Injector
or injector seals
injector clamp loose in head

What are you wanting to run off the two batteries?

Done 100s of them never had a problem

Most good locksmiths can decode and cut a blade
