is the rear calliper banjo joint dry? very common for the aluminium sealing ring to corrode, check your brake fluid.

do the switches work? if they do but not illuminated its probably the led that's burned out, is it all the switches that don't light up?
The mirror switch should illuminate as well.

Thats the same unit I fitted to mine for the same reason, it looks factory fit, so much better with MP3 etc, I changed the settings to dim and its not so bright.

Did you remember to change the switched live?

find the paint code on service book, or boot of car, and read the top of the B5 thread, as the colour codes are all listed for you

Correct, if fitted with the original unit, when battery is reconnected the unit will display LEARN and you will be fine, it will remember the settings and preprogrammed stations, if it has been replaced and not original you will need the code.

ET on these is probably 41, so with 15/20mm adapters you will be fine, as mentioned PCD is 5 x 120

I would not fit them non hubcentric spacers at all

straight on for clutch & brake, after you take off the old rubber ones, accelerator you normally have to glue on top of the old rubber one, I use Araldite or similar 2 pack glues.

slip ring may be worn,steering wheel will need to be removed to examine/clean up.
