Re: oh no !£$"£ %$£" %$ ^ $%^ ^%&
I am afraid I do not agree with that. If you are genuinely hurt, fine, but submitting claims for injury just to get some money out of the incident just causes all of our insurance rates to rise, and it's a practise that in my opinion that should not be encouraged. Rant over, but this compensation cu...

Re: guess whos back you lovely people
What I like about these lights is the way they match the line between the wing and bonnet and the way they accentuate the line from the bottom of the lights along the bottom of the grill.
Looks like a huge U from the front.

Estate rear wash pipe
Silly question, but as you look at the back of an estate (B5.5 just in case there is a difference) is the pipe that supplies the washer fluid to the washer on the rear windscreen on the left or the right? I assume (assume makes an ass of u and me!!) that it is the left as the washer bottle is on tha...

Dr Colorchip
Just wondered if anyone who bought the Dr Colorchip kits in the Group Buy had used their's yet and whether or not it lived up to the claims on the web site.
I am thinking of buying one to get rid of my stone chips etc., but is it all just hype?

Hmmm, I got the rubber seals with my oil filter but no sump plug washer.
Thanks for the answers, think I will try a change without the washer and see what happens.

CHR15B, if you follow the link on post no 4 on page 1 this gives access to page where there are details of all the water leaks you can get not just the plenum drains. This link is still OK but to make it easy I will repeat it:

Glove box light
I had to take my glove box out to install a Satnav and removed the light. Unfortunately when I was refitting it the two halves came apart. I cannot figure out how the spring fitted in order to spring load the on/off switch. Does anyone have a photogragh or diagram so can re-assembly it, as it is not...

Yes mine as well.
When you are driving and the temperature drops below 4C it goes "bong" and flashes. If you start up and the temperature is already below 4.0C (it was -1.5C on the Mendips yesterday !!) it just flashes at you!!

Re: Passat Beginner
Welcome.
VAG stands for Volkswagen Audi Group.
B4,B5/B5.5,B6 are various versions of the Passat sold over the last n years. As yours is a 2007 model then yours is a B6.
Mine is a 2003 1.9 TDI 130 Sport and is a B5.5 which was an upgrade of the previous B5 model from about 2001 onwards.
