That's the critical difference. Yours are 2.0, mine's the 1.6. The 2.0 with the auto box would probably the perfect combo for this car.

Do you find its totally dead below 2k rpm ? I find I have to keep it spinning above this for a smooth getaway.

Scrub that about the dash noise. Mine's got a vibration noise sounding like its from the passenger side. What a piece of garbage this car really is !!

My dash has developed a vibration, glad to see the build quality is on a par with my old B7. That had business cards wedged in the dash trim piece along its entire width.

I don't suffer so much with wind or road noise, at least not any more than my old B7, but I suffer with chronic engine noise thanks to the ABYSMAL 1.6TDI engine. I don't know how it works, im guessing it may be a similar set up to Merc. Seems to be quite smooth though in operation.
