Re: Luk part numbers

Definitely not mate I want to keep it as it is and unipart are doing the luk dualmass and clutch kit around the £300 on a special so it's cheaper than that kit too. :esm would like to double check the part numbers first though.

Re: 5speed gearbox options

Cheers for the info mate, I would like to replace with an fhn but its more about finding a good box. I dont want to buy a box for 200+ Just because its an fhn and Not knowing the mileage, Fit it and its no better if you see what i mean.

5speed gearbox options

From what I've read on here all 5 speed boxes are interchangeable so what is the difference between them as they all have different codes, fhn, ggb, gfl, duk, dhf, een, efg an dean are the ones I've found so far.

I have a awx with an fhn box and I need to replace it, what's the best one to go for?

My b5.5 saloon project

First off hello as I'm new and this is my first thread on here.

After a year and a bit of not owning my own car I have bought a b5.5 passat to mess about with as I miss the tinkering. It's a 2003 1.9 tdi 130 with 206k miles and I got it cheap as it's in need of a gearbox. Drives well apart from ...
