Has anybody done this? I'm looking to do it for my little boy for long drives and wondered if anyone had done it before?
If not the 5.5 any other model?

Resurrecting a old thread but I've just ordered these parts for my b5.5 saloon and prices have got up a bit (as has everything now days) it's £65 with vat, but can't out a price on safety

Correct mate, sorry can't help with the OEM sensors though Just out of curiosity, do your sensors pick up the towbar? Other people have said that they do, but I have a drop plate for a stabiliser, also a bumper guard and twin sockets and mine are fine no mine doesnt pick it up, i think because its ...

thats a good idea. so whenever a trailer was connected it would turn them off automatically ? have to do some research anyone know where the OEM reversing controller is? or what wire to switch to turn them off? the only other option is breaking the wire to the siren so you cant hear them beeping the...

hello, yesterday i fitted a tow bar to my b5.5 saloon.
apon removing the bumper i remember i have reversing sensors.
the help i need is, where could i put a switch to temporally disable the sensors when having a trailer fitted?
is it possible?

doesnt make any bad noise, and today it has worked fine today, 14.1v all day.
think im gonna remove it and take it to a local shop that refurbs motors and starters.

hello, I have owned my passat b5.5 for 1 week now and one night last at idle i noticed the headlights dimming and returning to normal. plugged a volt meter in and saw it fluctuating from 13.4 to 14.1, most of the time it sits at 14.2/14.3 but one day it will start and wont charge past 11v then 12.1v...

Not a particular Diggers from AUS by any chance? Cambelts 60K - 80K miles or every 4 years whichever comes first, very important on the Diesels, best to do the full kit meaning tensioner roller and follower rollers, and also wise to do water pump same time as its right in there too and the same wor...
