Re: Offset and where to buy spacers

you will need to run at least 20mm spacers as with the offset of the wheels you will probably foul the suspension upright as the wheels will sit to far in the arches. standard wheels are usually around et35 so the difference between that and the audi wheels are the size of spacers you would need

Re: ECU Removal????

mine recently failed and allowed the water to drip onto the throttle pedal causing loss of all power. when removing the plugs and refitting you can't go wrong as they are all colour coded and will only fit in the right colour sockets

Re: fitting heated seats

the way to find out is to remove one of the front seats and look for 2 connectors underneath the seat.

all seats should have 1 connector for the airbags the second connector is the heating element.

not sure if you will have the element fitted but as far as i know most leather have it fitted

mine does this and seems to use fluid but cannot trace from where!!!!

i suspect the clutch cylinder but there is no sign of a leak.

top up the fluid and 6-8 weeks you'll get the warning again

iirc the ebay vag com leads use the shareware stuff from rosstech. i'm pretty sure you can clear codes but thats about all you can do with the shareware program. i may be wrong but i had one a few years ago then my mate showed me the real rosstech program so mine got binned

nothing wrong with running 20mm spacers with just studs!!!!!

when i had the 19"s on last year i ran 20mm front and 20mm + 10mm on the rear all with longer studs. never had any problems. well i did when i took them off i couldn't seperate the 10mm and 20mm very easy :hyst

Re: passat hubs ... question

actually you wont be drilling 8mm further out its only about 4mm as the 120mm is pitch circle diameter. so draw a circle at 112mm then draw one around that at 120mm thats the distance you will be moving the stud holes out

Re: passat hubs ... question

if it helps you i'm running et42 with 20 mm spacers making it et 22. i tried another 15mm spacer on the rear and with 215/35 tyres the tread is level with the wheel arch. ideally i would run another 10mm to make it an et 12 and everything would be fine. imo go for the thinnest adaptors you can or ge...

pretty sure the caddy will have a high offset (et 45 ish) they will fit but you may need to fit spacers to push the wheel out and clear caliper/strut

i'm running 8.5x18 et 42 with 20mm spacers all round (final et22) wheels sit nice and flush with arches although i did try 35mm spacers (final et7) rim sat about an inch past wheel arch but 215/35 tyre shoulder was just level with arch. would not recommend running that unless very hard suspension or...

10 year guarantee is against it breaking the hangers or any rattles or even splitting. nothing mentioned about corrosion (as its supposed to be stainless)
