Re: 235/40 18 Budget tyre suggestions
Nankang NS-20 Noble Sport, i am using them under my CC for the second summer now and have to say that they are great for the value. Second option is the HiFly tyre, but im not shure that they are making this size, many 17 inch users are using them and the reviews from them are good.

Re: Bubbling Arches
Going do get my rear arches sorted under VW warranty, have to pay 25% of the total cost from my own pocket but i think its still a good deal. If your dealer is telling you that hes not going to do it, go for the other one. But if your cars history is missing or not complete you can have some problems.

Re: Bluetooth pairing issue
Did you try to change the settings from the phone? Sometimes it can be the issue also. I have also newer module installed to my CC, and i changed the coding to 020000000000000000000000, its connecting the phone now without a problem but im still wrestling with the BT audio option, as its not working ...

Re: Steering Wheel icon on+Dim problem!!
Do you happen to know what was the exact fault code shown via VCDS? I remember that when i bought my car it had the yellow steering wheel lamp shown on the dash also. Fault code was related with steering assist and we got rid of it after doing adaptation/calibration.

Yes, if I want to do some spirited driving in manual mode it's much better with paddles. I have 3.6 engine so this kind of driving style comes pretty often

Re: Retro fit Paddle Shift.
I've done this also, retrofitted new steering wheel with paddles. Reused my airbag cause the steering wheel was the same minus paddles. It's really easy, just need to switch paddle option on with the VCDS and that's it. Price for the wheel was only 90eur.

How are you preparing the chrome parts for painting
Took the chrome parts off, grind them with sandpaper (not too rough) until you can feel that its not smooth anymore so the primer can stick (i dont know any other word for that) to the detail. It took me about two days to grind all the front ...

Re: Passat CC Mirrors
Mirror "leg" can be specific on CC but other than that the mirror itself have to be the same at least on B7 Passat and Scirocco, maybe on some other models also, cant be shure. There was some videos on youtube how to open up your mirror, its not that hard as ive done it couple of times now.

Making my CC to look different
So far ive done the modifications to rear exhaust and also lowered my car with Eibach springs. Now i have an idea to get rid of the chrome from outside of the car, as i dont like it at all. For now ive done the front grill to gloss black, next parts are the stripes on the doors and on the rear ...

Re: Steering Wheel... on a 2008 Passat 2.0 TDI
125 sound like a great price if the airbag is included, i would say buy it if there are no wearing on the leather. As said, airbags can be quite pricey, only for the steering wheel the 50 sound about right. It is a straight swap and im not shure do you have to do something with the VCDS as you dont ...

Re: OEM number plate LED's
My car is 2008, so MY09 it is. Ive bought those from a friend of mine, but you can search them from ebay for example, if you are looking the first picture you can see the part number there ;) They are working without a problem, only have to switch off the cold diagnosis for them as it is going to ...

Re: Steering Wheel... on a 2008 Passat 2.0 TDI
Now thats what I dont understand really, how the hell they can put some ugly/rubbish steering wheel from the `90s to a car as new as yours. Open the Ebay and search one nice leather one (newer style), it have to be quite cheap as you dont need one with multifunction buttons or DSG paddles.
