Check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir, if it's not that it will be a bad/loose/broken connection on the wear pad sensors, you can either repair or disable it by soldering the wires together and seal with heatshrink.The loom can breakdown between the pad sensor and the connector further...

I agree the wheels are not to everyones tastes buy if we all liked the same thing what a boring world it would be.

I like the rims its just weather they will suit a b5.5

Cheers mate the chap i getting them off soad he get spacers and extra long bolts/nuts for fronts to bring out to match rears

19" wheels on a b5.5

Hi all I am in the process of sorting a deal for a set of 19" alloys


I have a passat b5.5

It's lowered apporx 40mm on springs (according to previous owner)


Does anyone know if 19's will fit without a prob



They are 255/40/19 rear
235/40/19 front

Looks clean mate :-bd I have to say in my opinion, I'm not digging the speccy glittery wheels. Looks a bit cheap and nasty but hey ho its your car and its your call! Just having a think what other colours they'd look good in - maybe a darkish colour like Anthracite against the light bluey silver......

Really worth getting rid of a car cos of that ?? I have a b5.5 far from perfect but it my little project that I will work on making mint As for b6 my brother has one and I think it's a lovely moter and he had no real issues touch wood I believe if you look after your car it will look after you As for everything else I say make sure you get a good ...

Mine is the same 1.9tdi 130 2001

Stinks like mad

Start first turn without issues

But i do know i need to change my thermostay and temp sensor as the temp gauge only ever rises to quarter or the way (around 66 degrees)

Hi The belt should be changed every 60,000 miles or 4 years I would change the belt kit and waterpump at the same time I would also change the aux belts while there I would guess your looking @ 250-300 for a belt fit ( depends on where you go a make of parts used ) Dave Thanks mate is that a rough ...
