how do you fit the pierburg merc maf?
Has anyone done this recently as i can't see how Im going to fit it? I bought the air flow sensor from euro Car parts but think i might have the wrong one. The actual sensor is too big to fit inside the original housing on the side of the airbox and the connector is different. I know you have to mod...

Re: alpina rep wheels on b5 passat?
Audi wheels are 5x112 mate so fit straight on a Passat. Check the offset though (ET), the higher the number the further in the wheels will sit. Audi wheels are one of the most popular choices for Passats as most fit straight on.

Re: Cars lowered but still handles like shi..
my mechanic (a VAG specialist) is adamant I shouldn`t fit coilovers to my wagon, he`s already transformed the awfull handling when he discovered the front suspension was shagged, I`m now saving for a set of bilstiens at his recomendation! so, no need for coily`s for me! Yeah I guess if I want great...

check - tracking and all 4 tyres - pressure/size/condition/brand (at least per axle) top arms were replaced recently.... sounds like you might have lost your s-curve settings!!! Re: Cars lowered but still handles like shi..
Wow, thanks for all your replies guys! To be fair the tyres I have on aren't the best, I've got some audi 16in alloys on with balloon like 205/55/16 tyres so that won't help matters. Judging by the response I think I'll get the front end set up properly, maybe get it laser aligned as I know a place ...

Cars lowered but still handles like shi..
Since I fitted coilovers to my B5 I expected it to transform the handling. Sadly this is not the case. I've lowered a few of my cars and been happy with the results, although these were on shocks and springs not coilies. The steering has always been a little vague and I think this makes the handling...

Re: My new project:time attack tdi !
Just shows you the potential of these engines. I have the AFN 110. So far all I've done is junk the EGR, then I fitted a cleaned inlet manifold. Was quite chuffed I did that myself (took a little off the top of my knuckles though, bolts had never been moved in 14 years). I have a THS decat to go on ...

Re: Hallelujah! Big update 6/7/11
Made a few changes as well. Took the angel eyes out and put the xenons in, sprayed the jap spec satin black and fitted that think it tidies the front end up nicely. Also binned the egr valve and fitted a cleaned inlet manifold. Had the fanbelt fitted last week as well.
