i had this problem on my passenger door
caused by trying to open when locked and insides sticking
i fixed it with a small hammer and knocking on three bolts holding lock gear when open....
plus both handles at one a few times...

Yes some cutting was needed for side skirts...
Pedals came of ebay from Chech republic... Genuine Vw.
Haven't seen a dead pedal anywhere apart from home made as you suggest.

Fuzzy grey gf ball is called a reflector - makes headlights look more modern than the generic h7 lamp and helps light dispersion. - from the mouth of a sparky

Believe its also a h7. Just hiding behind a golf ball looking reflector.

Just fitted skirts from euro tuning shop.
Body shop did say they weren't perfect but made of abs rather than fibreglass so much better.

I will put up some detailed pics at weekend hopefully

They aren't as good as genuine. But do the job ok and good enough for me.

Sounds like an odd problem that. My dipped normal beam is the golf ball.

agreed - when in manual you do seem to know what gear your in... the shift indicator is cool.
