I know it might fail at anytime, but while waiting to get this sorted I sprayed some silicone spray around the locking pin etc and it hasn’t given me any problems since. Noise when locking has gone and the filler door opens easily and locks when car is locked.

Had my wife’s 2013 B7 2.0tdi Highline saloon serviced two years ago and the mechanic used 5w40. We didn’t realise but used it for a year and it ran well. Not sure if it was detrimental to the car? This year had it serviced again and used 5w30

Well done ozzig! That’s about what mine cost and they even gave me a complimentary all wheel tracking / alignment as they said not many people buy such good quality tyres here at the moment because of the price! Enjoy
