Doing the same with my wife's 13 plate B7 saloon tomorrow. She's had Conty Sport Contact 5s on from new and are changing to Michelin Primacy 3s. Moving the rear Conty's to the front and new Michelin's to the rear. The Conty's have got to 25k but we've always preferred the Michelin's ride quality.

Thanks desertstorm. As you say, my insurance company confirmed that there is no problem with the Michelin tyres if we want to gradually move over to them.

Good news. They seem pretty good, although they are thinner than my wife's B7 equivalent, obviously to save material and weight in the lighter and more environmentally friendly B8!!!

Hi Dom. I thought my Alcantara / Leather GT would be awful coming from a B6 SE cloth interior but I really like it. My brother has a full leather new 3 series and I don't like it one bit! So a thumbs up for the combo from me.
