Re: Time for a change?

Hi, the Nissan Qashqai looks smart enough and believe you need the Acenta Premium plus to get the reversing camera. The one up from that is the Tekna which gives leather and heated seats too.
Good luck with the search! :-bd

Re: Lowering my B6

Hi Katy, Yes some kits do and some don't so would be an added extra. Just have to account for the extra to have them fitted to your B6 as well. I found the FK kits good in that respect - all inclusive. Again solid German engineering as they state that they make them in Germany and not the Far East t...

Re: Lowering my B6

I believe this is due to the fact that coilovers are made with shorter dampers and coils, hence the drop links have to match the shortened chassis. I didn't go coilovers as 1) didn't want a boneshaker ride (although some may argue a decent ride on some makes) and 2) Having to buy additional shortene...

Re: Lowering my B6

Hi Katy, I was dubious at first at the cheap price for the FK lowering kits but I went for the non-coil over route on mine. Went for the sport lowering kit with 4 shocks and 4 lowering springs (-35-40mm) drop and had them fitted. Am really pleased with them and delivery was first class straight from...

Re: TerraClean, any one done this?

Hi James, I did this on my B6 TDI which at the time covered around 90k and noticed a slight increase in the MPG (realistically by up to 4MPG). The car did also seem to run smoother but who knows if this is the placebo effect after getting something like this done? Car has always passed the emmission...

If you don't mind Asda supermarket fuel, currently their diesel price down South is £1.12/litre which is the cheapest I have seen so far.............

Mine had 78k on it when bought 2 years ago and now has 116k with no major problems, just the normal servicing items plus cambelt change. What's your mileage?

Re: Buying tyres online

Quite agree and whilst I have been scammed previously on Fleabay, I am extra cautious who I buy from in terms of feedback rating from now on. I also raised a dispute with Paypal and lucky in 1 respect that another buyer had also been scammed with no goods received, so the time it took to get my mone...

Re: Buying tyres online

Ebay is a pot luck buying portal as it's very dependant on the type of seller you end up with. I bought an Ipad Mini last week with a seller on Ebay with a 100% feedback rating and kept e-mailing him constantly to get tracking details. Stated he worked shifts which was fair enoughm but still couldn'...

Re: Clicking brakes

I get a slight 'clunking' noise from mine as they weren't genuine VW pads and were after market NON OEM. Main dealer stated that this is normal for NON OEM as they maybe slightly different in size - Are yours genuine VW pads? Nothing to worry about as they have been performing fine as they should si...

Re: Hello again, i'm kinda a newbie :0)

Good to hear and 40mpg isn't too bad.
Thought it was Imperial as that branch is only down the road (M3) from me as based in Basingstoke.
Ended up buying my B6 from the Southampton branch of Imperial and been very pleased so far after 2 year's ownership :D
Happy motoring with the Audi

Nice car but what's the mpg like for a 2.7 lump?
Also looks like you bought it from Imperial Car Supermarkets by the looks of the flags in the background :-bd

Re: Checking Actual Real Mileage

Also I suppose it has only had 1 MOT as it's a 2010 car. I would still check back with the dealer service record if main dealer and also ask where the car was last serviced if an independant garage?

Re: Recommendations for incar Video camera

Hi Gizmo, Thanks for your reply and will have a look at this make. Basicly I want a camera that isn't a 4" large screen as need it to be discreetly placed by the rear view mirror but good enough to take clear video day/night. Whereabouts in the fuse box did you wire your's to exactly - An unuse...

Recommendations for incar Video camera

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good incar Video camera which is clear recording in daytime as well as night?
Also some I have seen have the cigarette lighter for power but wondered if anyone has bought and hardwired theirs in? Is it difficult to do?
:-??
Thanks in advance

Can't say for definite as you can check many posts on here for the EPB and hex key issue.
Mine is a CR which I believe stands for Common rail.
