Re: Buying a B6
Hi Nick, If you are thinking of buying a B6 (didn't state whether petrol or diesel), I believe you shoul be looking for post 2007 aged cars like mine which is a late 2008. Most injector recalls I believe were done on 2006-07 cars as have nothing on mine to report being done on recall. Fingers crosse...

Is the same kit easy enough to install on the RNS510 and if so what extra leads (if any) are needed?

What model did you end up purchasing and will this connected to a RNS head unit or an after market one? Pics would be great to see also as interested in getting one fitted myself

Re: Will these springs fit myh car, are they any good
I don't think they will as your 4 Motion variant will have specific springs in this range. Best off to e-mail them as I did when I queried the full lowering kit on FK. They did respond same day and seem quite good on the Customer Service experience so far

Re: Fitting new stereo today
No major horrors as the unit will work fine without the DIS as the Chinese units are supposed to. If you need VAGCOM then just post on here for local help and pay with beer tokens. RichardSEL did mine and was a very knowledgable chap and quite helpful with putting other things on the car with his he...

Re: Fitting new stereo today
Ah, didn't know it was Chinese unit so no you don't require VCDS. I bought a RNS510 so had to get it programmed so that I could have the turn by turn on the front DIS. Your directions will be on the head unit so all okay there :-bd Good luck and please remember to leave the passenger airbag wiring a...

Re: Fitting new stereo today
Yes, prize away the silver stereo surround by using a sharp plastic tool or flat head screwdriver with tape on it. Note - leave the passenger airbag below connected as if you unconnect the airbag light will come on and will need VagCom connected to take the light off again - No need to have the igni...

Re: Fitting new stereo today
Hi, Sure there have been some posts on this one, and some guys recommend GPS is positioned behind the A Pillar but mine is positioned behind the main unit (magnetically) and just under the coin tray cubby hole plinth behind the main dash. I have no problems with reception behind the main dash. Exter...

Re: longest owned B6
Hi All, bought my B6 2.0 tdi 140 in December 2012 with 78k miles on the clock from a car supermarket (ex lease car). Now done 111k, so 33k in nearly 2 years ownership. Touch wood, only servicing and timely items were done like cam belt and water pump, regular annual servicing. Just replaced all 4 ty...

Re: Susspesion 2L TDI Sport Estate
Hi Wookie, Thanks for the reply. I may give these a try as they are German made after all and should be good for the next 2 year's of ownership that I plan to keep the car for. Just after a slight drop of up to -30-40mm from the springs and decent new shocks as the rears are leaking and need replace...

Re: Susspesion 2L TDI Sport Estate
I started a thread re 'recommendations on replacements for my B6 Saloon' and posted this, but nobody has yet responded on this set from FK Hightec - Anyone bought from this company and if so what reviews can anybody give on this type of set - Seems a very good price? Why are these so cheap? A full s...

Re: Anything you don't like about your Passat.
Originally upon purchase the old Nokia Bluetooth box under the drivers seat that could only connect to 80's and 90's phones! For a car produced in 2008, this is a bit backward. Sorted after purchasing an upgrade version.

Why are these so cheap? A full set of FK's lowering springs & shocks for just over £169?
Are these good, bad or indifferent

Hi, something like th eBilstein B4's as mentioned in one previous post.
Unless I can just replace the springs to Eibach and buy standard VW shocks?
