i had to replace viscous cos i messed it up getting serp tensioner off :roll:

best/quickest way IMO is to get a whole housing off a scrapper and swap it out.

doing yours means removing it and the bearing which is either a press fit or held in with a circlip.

from experience, you get what you pay for with CV joints. VW ones are twice as expensive as repos cos they last alot longer!

my TDI wagen is about to tip over the 200k (miles) mark :wink: , still on original shocks,cvs,water pump, alt and clutch :lol: only mech stuff done is the front arms and rear ...

easiest tuning mod in the world.

if you can change discs/pads then you can do it

the extra feed pipe should NOT be fitted into the filter just directed to it, this means you will not be filtering the air and all sorts of sh*t will go in. :0



does the extra pipe you have to feed into the filter make any difference as im not convinced that was a good fit in the hole i made into ...

YES the TT had them amongst others V6 petrol and diesel VW/Audis.

did mine a couple of years ago with new carriers from VAGparts.com, cheap new

coupled with some nice new brembo OE discs and OE pads, has gotta the be easiest upgrade performance going - you don't even need to re-bleed the brakes.

and yes they are quite an improvement.
