Re: Hi All.

Hey Matt. UKPassats Club stand with an Audi doesn't seem to work somehow.. and I think prising the W8 back off my sister would be like trying to extract my own teeth with some floss. Maybe I'll get her to bring it along! R36 was wrapped, but I soon after got bored with it. It was a great car, don't ...

Hi All.

Howdie all,

Figured I would check in despite selling the R36 (providing that's allowed, lol) The W8 still lives in, although my sister has it at the moment. Life on the 'Audi' side is good. The RS4 is remapped and has a Milltek exhaust, just a shame my days on the club stands are over!

Re: Thinking of selling the W8...

Hi Jon. The only way would be some elaborate remote turbo set-up, there isn't any feasible way to charge the W8 that I have ever found. It's a shame, as it'd be awesome - but - as an all out weapon the R36 is a much better prospect anyway, weighing in some 350kg less than the W8. I'll take some phot...

Not really feasible. No room, slush-box auto, very expensive job. The R36 is a much better candidate for this.

Thinking of selling the W8...

Hey All. Sad times, but I am thinking of parting with my beloved W8, despite only just fitting all new suspension to it :S - Just need to try and work out how much its worth now. Unfortunately its worth more to me than any buyer will ever appreciate. The car runs like new with a new torque converter...

Re: Had a DSG Remap - Revo Stage 2 :D

For those who don't know... Passat R36 - Rolling Roaded at 308BHP stock (300hp manufacturer quoted). This was enough for a 13.7/sec 1/4 mile at 100mph completely stock. I'd given the engine my 'lead-foot' running in treatment, and this seemed to show up on the rolling road. Next came engine remap wh...

Had a DSG Remap - Revo Stage 2 :D

For any of you B6'ers out there with a DSG box, this is a must. I had Revo remap my DSG box on Wednesday! Its like a totally different car. Amazingly, faster up-shifts and down-shifts, torque limit has been raised to 500Nm to accommodate mods, and rev-limit raised to 7300rpm in Drive and Sport to ma...

It was my subframe mount plates that kept getting a walloping when the W8 was lowered. It eventually stopped as I ground them flat!!

ooh - I'll have to buy this. I've last months issue sat here unread though!

I like the dig at M3 drivers, although its sooo true. My girlfriends uncle (E46 M3 Coupe driver) had the shock of his life when he came up against my R36 recently :)

ouch mate that's just poo.

You need to get a good auto-electrician on the job. Electrify the car all the time the alarm is armed. Give the little sh*its 100 amps up their a*se next time they touch it.

Your cars looked great yesterday Rob, espeacially the 36. I was going to have a word, but was on my way back to the show and shine announcments the only time that I saw you. Cheers. Re: Got coilovers, do i need anything else?

I found on the W8 that with a 50mm drop there was enough adjustment that only the front camber was very slightly out. Nothing major to worry about, if anything it'd assist handling a bit with very minor tyre wear differences.

Just get a 4 wheel laser alignment done afterwards :)
