Re: Wifes - another - Octavia L & K

That's great that the carbon clean worked.. I had the same issue on my wife's 110 Octavia, although I did the Mr muscle treatment and actuated the VNT on the turbo with a handheld pump..

Those engines are great and respond well to a tuning box..

TBH I wouldn't bother, I would expect marks on a 12 year old car.. you won't get your money back..

It would just be the timing belt then? it was done 25k ago, so hopefully it wouldn't of just skipped a tooth..

The VCDS lead I use is actually a serial lead and works through a USB convertor, so hopefully that will work..

So is it a case of reading the software coding from the old CCM and changing the coding on the new CCM to match?

Re: Interior lights

Under the passenger side in UK.. I removed the front seat so I could get access. Just lift the carpet back and unlug the ccm, then strip the black loom tape off the loom and start checking the wiring nodes.. I cut and soldered every one I came across as they were green with corrosion..

Re: Interior lights

I had a similar issue with my superb. Door lights worked and interior lights worked when switched on but not when the door opened. I found corroded wiring around the ccm, just check each of the wiring nodes and cut back and solder any corroded connections.. It sorted mine and they are now 100%.
