Went to see a friend of mine (Grinder) this morning to try and add another remote to my 2001 Passat. Although both of them will start the car only one will lock and unlock the car.

Followed this guide below from Ross-Tech but when we tell the car to allow 2 remotes it will only let us have one ...

Pairing a key remote to a de-locked car... How?

I've just tried to use my other key to unlock the car (2001 Sport) but it doesn't work. The red light on the fob flashes but nothing happens with the locks. It still starts the car but doesn't work the doors.

The manual says I need to unlock the car with the key using the drivers door lock and ...

Cambelt Damper. Do I need to change with cambelt?

My 2001 130bhp TDi Sport is having it's cambelt changed next month but as of today I've just discovered this 'Cambelt Damper' that isn't part of the kit.

It's on 120k and at the moment I'm ready to buy and then fit:

VW Cambelt Kit
KWP Waterpump
Contitech Aux and AC belts
G12 Coolant.

Who's ...

Cheers Adam.

Just cuz your in North London it still might be a lot cheaper than a local garage. I'll price all the parts up, add perhaps 20 quid of fuel and see what your 100 notes takes it up to.

be in touch soon. ;)

I know my way around a car but when it comes to my first cambelt I'd like some help. I'd rather learn and see this done than hand it over to a garage and see nothing.

So if you fancy having me and my 2001 130bhp TDi Sport on your drive at a weekend then I'll supply the parts (inc waterpump and ...
