Gents With the last few weeks being frosty early doors ive noticed the sat splutters and coughs a bit then starts idles a bit lumpy ( bit smokey) then runs fine starts again no bother. If fog lights are fitted and kufatec harness bought, where does the harness go to? Does the harness stay in and plug in the engine bay or all the way back to the fuse board? Harness goes back to the fuse box the headlight switch and a relay needs to be installed into the relay plate. Hope this help...

If as above the washer jet follows the wiper sweep a kit part No 8L0998711 will sort this.
Had exactly the same issue took the panel off and dried out the latch then WD40 to drive out any hidden moisture.

Put the hazards on leave them on for a bit..... All good then you know its the stalk :D Pollen filter is a doddle stripping off the scuttle is a pain. When i changed my mirrors to the 04 type i also changed the wings to the blank non- repeater type the indicator wiring goes through a bung on the inner wing behind the dash above each side kick panel tap in there pal.
I simply pushed them through and connected them there.

The water pump is a common fail as the shaft looses its grip on the impeller ( plastic strips out)
The hotter the engine water gets the less revolutions from the impeller(slipping).
Hope this makes some sense.
This is by far the most common cause of overheating on B5 and B5.5

I have genuine dog guard for my 03 wagon.
It has "legs that support the all metal screen, using the luggage chrome tie downs at the bottom of the luggage area.

Brake light switch mate all day :D Brake light switch under the brake pedal, an easy item to locate a bit temperamental and easily broken when fitting the new one. Just be mindful if you drive this without replacing the switch you will have only your high level brake light or worse case none at all...
